Linly Heflin Scholarship-
—This is a scholarship that grants four-year scholarships in the amount of $4000 per year to a limited number of Alabama women who have both significant economic need and sound academic records. Requirements that must be met include:
—Scholarships are restricted to four-year, Alabama, SACS accredited, colleges.
—The minimum requirement for the ACT score is 23.
—Alabama resident and U.S. citizen
—Financial need
—Academic proficiency
—The completed application form and supporting documents must be mailed and postmarked by January 9, 2017.

Smith Scholarship Foundation- 
—The Smith Scholarship Foundation is an intensive accountability program providing funding and one-on-one mentoring that requires continued self-assessment and goal planning to optimize college funding collectively for all of our scholars. Our program requires active leadership and cultural experience to foster community service and social accountability.
—Students are chosen from a competitive application process of more than 1, 000 annual applications. Those selected must have demonstrated an ability to overcome adversity and hardship and succeed in contradiction to the odds with a selfless commitment to give back to others while continuing to meet personal challenges to become independent self-sufficient young adults.
—Deadlines for application submission:
—Application submitted by:  December 1, 2016 
—Proof of FASFA application: submitted with application by December 1, 2016 
—Letters of recommendation: January 15, 2107 
—Application to be completed and submitted online at www.smithscholarships.com

Auburn University- 
—December 1st is the priority deadline for the merit based or academic scholarships.
—February 10th  to receive final consideration for available Freshman Scholarships, as well as General Scholarships awarded by the Office of University Scholarships and Departmental Scholarships awarded by Auburn’s colleges and schools. —FALL 2017 application goes online September 1st and the deadline to apply is January 15th. 
**Students must be accepted for admission and then they can complete the one scholarship application called AUSOM to be eligible for all scholarships!

BLSA Scholarship Committee
Thomas E. Huey, Jr. Memorial Scholarship-
—Applications can be found in the counselors office.  Scholarship applications will be accepted based upon 50% financial need, 40% grade point average, and 10% achievements and accomplishments.  Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.
—Deadline to submit information is December 31, 2016.

College Counts Scholarships-
Applications for seniors going to college fall 2017 will be accepted December 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017

Aspiring Nurse Scholarship (Nursing Schools Almanac)-
Open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN/LVN, ADN, and BSN programs.

Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2017.
